Update Inventory (Sorting)

This is where you take unsorted inventory and classify it. Use this after Express orders come in, or any time you sort through a loose pile.

You’ve identified the material type but haven’t sorted by distributor yet.

Open Update Inventory for your operation

Select Express → Loose

Choose the material type

Plastics, Cans, or Glass

Enter how many items you're classifying

Submit

Items move from the Express pool into your loose pile for that material.

You’ve sorted the Express pile and know exactly what you have.

Enter the distributor name

Enter the number of cases and items per case

Submit

Items move directly into your ready pile under that distributor.

You’ve gone through your loose pile and sorted it by distributor.

Converting to Non-Deposit

You found containers that have no deposit value.

A $0.05-per-item loss is recorded automatically on your financials when you convert to Non-Deposit — because you paid the customer for them but can’t recover the deposit.
